Standardize Rating System
So I have been thinking about this blog and I thought I need to standardize my rating instead of just pulling numbers out of the air. So from now on I will be judging based on the scale i state below. All categories will be scored out of one, thus all ratings will be real-floating point numbers. The number can be negative. There will be five categories for an overall score of 5.
Service <1> : This will be scored by judging how we were treated by the staff. Did they have smiles on their faces? Did anything bad related to the staff happen? when I asked the waitress/waiter for their recommendation did they put their heart into their suggestions? I almost always ask the waitress/waiter what they suggest.
Environment <1> : This will be judged on how I like the decoration of the restaurant. Is the washroom easy to find? Did I feel comfortable in there? Was the restaurant too crowded?
Food <1> : By far almost always the most important part. Did the food taste good? Were the portions large enough to eat and be full? Was there enough variety?
Presentation <1> : Did the food look nice when it came? This is by far the hardest to rate because sometimes the presentation of the food is always overlooked. But sometimes when it looks nice it's more appetizing.
Price <1> : Were the pices reasonable and conservative. Did the prices reflect the portions and taste of the food? Did the prices leave a hole in my wallet?
Overall <5> : So this is just a cumulative score of the above categories. This is how I rate my restauants.
These categories and questions are subject to change without notice. In case I missed something important.
